OLD NEW YORK release their new album LAVA LUNG - a masterclass in indie rock hooks
OLD NEW YORK release their fourth brilliant indie rock album "LAVA LUNG".
This album further progresses the band's sound of a mix of throbbing bass and drums and rhythmic, harmonized electric guitars with multiple vocalists, drawing comparisons to post-punk and contemporary bands such as Interpol, Dinosaur Jr, The Church, Television, Jesus and Mary Chain, The Smiths and Zwan. The band has three primary songwriters with each contributing compositions that juxtapose the bands shifting sounds from track to track creating a robust album of dissonant guitars hooked into gridlocked grooves that offers a nod to their previous albums but demonstrates significant elements of creative progression. This album only further signifies how OLD NEW YORK continues to come up with stand out moments as a band.
